Hard-working Junior Marketer Wanted for Olney-based Optometrist
Wanted: Junior Marketer with strong copywriting and social media abilities who can help us increase our reach, capture our culture, and generate new patients for Dr. Clark DeShon.
Olney Eye Care (olneyeyecare.net) is a family-owned Practice in Olney, Il. We’ve been in operation for 30+ years and continue to grow.
We want to grow our patient list with organic social media, a content marketing strategy, marketing campaign build-outs (including Facebook, Instagram, and email), and local engagement.
We seek a marketing technician to help us grow by attracting leads and engaging our patients.
The position will be the primary person responsible for managing our social media.
This role will be supported by the fractional VP of Marketing, who has set clear outcomes for the business. The technician will be given expert-level training and work with world-class marketing professionals.
Job Summary
- Part-time position – 40 hours per month, including significant self-training and research.
- Work from home with frequent visits to our practice in downtown Olney.
- Must be available to attend in-person meetings at our office.
- Pay: $20-$25/hr

As a Digital Junior Marketer, You’ll Do the Following
- Manage and create content for our organic social media strategy, including working with the VP of Marketing on strategy, building the content curation plan, and executing the plan. You’ll be responsible for the copy, creative (graphics and video), scheduling posts, and measuring results.
- Manage and scale our current digital campaigns and launches from beginning to end.
- You’ll help create SOPs for our marketing tasks and own the improvements!
- Find new ways to leverage existing content and increase engagement with prospects and our customer base. This means wanting to know the pains of our market, so you can help us solve them.
- Schedule out the timelines of projects and ensure execution. You’ll need to understand what’s required to plan the entire project. We’ll help you with this.
- Work closely with our internal office team on content strategy.
- Research our competitors and aggregate best practices and recommendations.

What You Will Learn

- Persuasive sales copywriting, so the words you write sell more
Requirements
- Be results-oriented. If you don’t produce results, you’re not likely a fit for our team. This means generating revenue for our practice.
- Must be aware of digital marketing. You’re a student of DigitalMarketer.com, Amy Porterfield, Donald Miller, or any other qualified marketing expert.
- You can write sales copy that is persuasive. For example, you’ve read “Building a StoryBrand” or “1 Page Marketing Plan.”
- You are 100% behind our mission and vision.
- Able to start immediately
- Able to back up your marketing genius with real math and metrics week to week.
- Understand tracking the most relevant KPIs.
- Tech savvy and proficient in online apps and tools required to run an online business such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, and Google Apps (Docs and Spreadsheets).

What’s The Pay Range?
The targeted pay range for this job is $20-$25/hr, depending on experience at 10 hours per week or 40 per month.
